Veterans’ Coaching Program
Mission Statement
The Veterans’ Coaching Program (VCP) is dedicated to empowering veterans in their pursuit of purpose and passion. Our mission is to support veterans as they transition directly from active duty or return to academics later in life by providing the guidance, community, and opportunities needed to thrive as students and future professionals. We believe in the skills, talents and experiences of our veterans and are committed to helping them translate these assets into meaningful careers that ignite their enthusiasm and fulfill their aspirations.
VCP facilitates the transition from military service into a fulfilling academic journey and purposeful career path by offering personalized guidance, a supportive community, and access to hands-on learning and professional opportunities. Whether you are active-duty, a veteran, or a dependent, VCP supports your transition into higher education and connects you with internship and applied learning experiences that build confidence, sharpen skills, and lead to meaningful careers at Texas A&M University and beyond.
At VCP, a veteran’s passion is our priority. Your service-built strengths become the foundation for your next mission, one defined by growth, opportunity, and success.

HELPING VETERANS
Whether you’re active duty, a veteran, or a dependent, the Veterans’ Coaching Program provides a supportive pathway to success—helping you transition into student life, build meaningful professional experience, and connect with a community that understands your journey.
The program is open to veterans, active-duty service members, and military dependents who are interested in coaching or related fields. It is especially beneficial for students pursuing degrees in kinesiology, sport management, or similar disciplines at Texas A&M.
"The program has achieved record breaking numbers in the form of across the board increases in cadet’s ACFT (Army Combat Fitness Test) scores as well as a season completely absent of training-related injuries. As a recipient of the coaching myself, I have never felt more strong, flexible, mobile, or athletic in my life. With Nate’s constant stress on mobility, form, and technique, I have remained completely injury free and in fact have even resolved some old training injuries. The Team only received Nate 3 months prior to our culminating international competition where we placed 3rd best ROTC in the nation and 9 out of 48 teams, a marked improvement from last year, 12 out of 35."
