VCP Testimonial
Michael Moralez

“I was excited to discover about Texas A&M’s Veterans Coaching Program (VCP) as a Veteran and Green Beret, especially since Robert “Nate” Young, another Green Beret, was spearheading the program’s development. His expertise, professionalism, and sincere desire to help Veterans were evident from the first time we spoke. In addition to assisting me in navigating the admission process into the university, his advice made sure I received all the benefits I was entitled to, including my disability claims.
Nate embodies the core values of Texas A&M. His ability to simplify complex processes, especially within the VA system, demonstrates his excellence. His integrity ensures that program selection is guided by both experience and character. His leadership and loyalty to the Veteran community shine through in his dedication to every individual he supports. But above all, his selflessness makes the greatest impact. He consistently finds solutions and provides guidance, even with limited resources. With additional support, he could extend his reach even further, helping more Veterans and their families.
Beyond my own experience, the VCP’s expansion to include dependents has been invaluable. The program provides mentorship and guidance not just for Veterans but for their families as well. Knowing that my college-aged dependent has access to this level of support is reassuring and reinforces the program’s core mission: No Aggie or their family is left without support.
I am grateful for Nate’s leadership and the VCP’s unwavering commitment to the Veteran community. This program is changing lives, and with continued support, it will shape even more futures.”
